Rearing – care as a foundation
‘The welfare of the animals is our top priority,’ emphasises farmer Erik van de Nagel. That's why we pay particular attention to care, transparency and respectful treatment of the animals during rearing. The calves, which are no more than eight months old, are reared on a special milk feed that gives the meat its classic light colour and distinctive subtle flavour.
Processing – precision without compromise
With 25 years of experience in the meat industry, Jan Willem Otterspeer knows what matters. ‘Quality is crucial for us and compromise is not an option.’ All animals undergo a targeted selection process, accompanied by continuous checks. After cutting, another inspection step follows: each piece is examined, sorted and labelled.
Depending on the cut, the meat is then packaged either in a vacuum-sealed pack or in a skin pack. This ensures that the product is optimally protected and ready for transport to the markets.
